Basecamp files support centralized document and asset sharing inside projects. TeamScore reflects file-related activity by receiving metadata when a file is uploaded or when comments are added. This gives teams visibility into document interaction without exposing file contents.

What TeamScore Receives

TeamScore receives metadata for:

  • File upload events
  • Comments added to files

Basecamp supplies the file name, project, event type, and timestamps. File bodies, previews, and comment text are not included in Basecamp’s API responses.

How Files Appear in TeamScore

TeamScore displays file activity using the Basecamp file structure:

Project → Docs & Files → File Name

Uploading a file appears as a File Created event.

Comments appear as metadata-only Comment Created entries referencing the file.

Files use TeamScore’s document-style activity icon for easy recognition.

Data Details

Basecamp’s API transmits the metadata necessary to identify file activity without sending file contents or comment bodies.

File activity appears only for mapped users and for events that occur after the integration is connected.

Display timing depends on Basecamp’s webhook delivery and TeamScore’s processing window.
