Schedules Tab Overview
The Schedules tab in the user view screen is designed to help you manage work days and work hours for a user. It defines what days are considered work days, the specific work hours on those days, and how many hours constitute a full work day.
Default and Custom Schedules
This tab shows both default schedules provided by TeamScore and any custom schedules you create for your account. Default schedules offer a quick option through a drop-down list, while custom schedules allow you to configure schedules tailored to individual users.
Creating a Custom Schedule
To create a new custom schedule, click the Create Custom Schedule button located in the top right corner. Custom schedules initially apply to individual users but can also be made reusable account-wide elsewhere in TeamScore.
Use Case: Temporary Schedule Changes (e.g., Vacation)
Custom user schedules are especially useful for temporary schedule changes, such as vacations. When someone goes on vacation, you can create a schedule specifying a start and end date during which all days are marked as non-work days.
Schedule Configuration Details
- At the top, a Type drop-down lets you set the day as Default (normal work day) or override it to be a non-work day.
- For each day of the week, you can choose to:
- Copy from the default schedule
- Create a custom schedule for that user
- Designate it as a non-work day
- If you select Custom, you define the exact start and end times for the work day.
Visual and Scoring Effects
Custom work hours will modify the colors of the activity bar chart, visually reflecting the designated schedule.
You can also set a daily target number of work hours. This target is adjusted by the user’s target percentage. For example, if the target is 8 hours and the user’s target percentage is 80%, then working 6 hours and 40 minutes will count as reaching 100% of their target and getting a full score.
