Services Overview Tab
The Overview tab in the Services view of TeamScore provides essential information about a connected service, divided into a top and bottom section that adapts based on the service you are viewing.
Top Section Details
- Service Owner: The user who manages the service. They can rename it, update details, refresh connections, and perform essential administrative actions regardless of their usual product permissions.
- Status Toggle: Easily enable or disable a service. Disabling is useful if the data from this service should no longer be accessible or relevant to your team.
- Subscribed Users: Shows how many TeamScore users are connected to this service. For broad services like Google Workspace or Microsoft365, most users are typically connected. For specialized services, such as GitHub, only a subset of users might be connected depending on their roles.
Bottom Section Details
This section shows information about remote users — accounts related to the service that are not directly mapped to actual TeamScore users. These might be administrative accounts, service accounts, mailing lists, or other non-person identities. The count here represents how many remote accounts are linked (mapped) versus how many remain unmapped in your TeamScore system. Mapping helps ensure data represents real user activity.
Additional Service Information
In this section you'll find metadata about the service, including the creation date and last modification time.
Features Within Services
Some services, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft365, include features which act like mini services or capabilities within the larger service. Examples of features include Calendar, Drive, Meet, and Chat.
- Features do not have separate user mappings or authentication, and are managed under the main service.
- You can enable or disable individual features depending on your organization's usage. For example, if your company uses Slack or Zoom instead of Google Chat or Google Meet, you might choose to turn off those features.
- However, it is usually recommended to keep these features enabled, as they only activate if data actually exists — they do not cause unnecessary data clutter or noise.
- Your team may collaborate with external parties using different tools, so keeping features enabled ensures you capture all relevant activity.
Right Side: Available Services and Connections
On the right-hand side of the services screen, you will see a list of all the available services you can connect.
- A connection represents an API permission often granted via OAuth. The connection is linked to the individual who authorized it.
- Multiple connections for the same type of service are supported, allowing for redundancy. This is helpful if a user who configured a service leaves the company.
- TeamScore prevents duplication of data when multiple connections exist by recognizing and aggregating data correctly.
Summary and Recommendations
