Understanding the Features Tab

The Features tab in TeamScore appears on the Services View screen only for services that include distinct features, which can be thought of as mini-services or integrations within a main service. Examples include the Google Drive capability within Google Workspace or the Microsoft Teams feature inside Microsoft365.

These features have their own structures and purposes, but they do not require separate authentication. Once a user is logged into the main service (e.g., Google Workspace), they access all features (like Drive, Meet, Calendar) under the same authenticated user account.

Why Does TeamScore Use Features?

TeamScore organizes these mini-services as Features underneath their main service to enable easier management and categorization of activities without requiring users to connect multiple accounts or handle additional user mapping.

What You’ll See in the Features Tab

  • A list of mapped users who are active within the service.
  • Columns representing all the features available for each user.
  • Simple toggles to enable or disable each feature for each user individually.
  • If data has been processed against a feature, the tab will also display the date of the last data processing.

How to Use the Toggle Controls

You can turn a feature off for any particular user by toggling it off in the Features tab. When a feature is turned off for a user, TeamScore will:

  • Completely ignore any data related to that feature for the user that it receives through webhooks or data streams.
  • Not save that data into the activity system.

This gives you control over what information is shown and to whom, allowing sensitive or specific data to be excluded from TeamScore's activity feeds.

Use Case Example

Imagine you have a team member, say an internal general counsel, whose Google Drive activity you want to keep private within TeamScore. By turning off the Google Drive feature toggle for that user, TeamScore will exclude their Drive data while still respecting the inherent permissions model of the service.

This way, you can carefully manage visibility of different features per user and maintain privacy where needed.
