Overview of the Users Tab in Services View

The Users tab within the Services View screen of TeamScore is a crucial feature that helps you manage and understand your team members—whether employees or contractors—and how their work data from external services is connected and unified in TeamScore. TeamScore integrates data from various external services without requiring any installed agents or spyware, enabling effortless historical insights and visibility.

How TeamScore Links Users to External Data

TeamScore relies on correctly mapping each internal TeamScore user to their corresponding external data sources. This linking is primarily done based on e-mail addresses. When a team member uses a consistent e-mail address across services, linking is straightforward.

However, there are exceptions such as:

  • Contractors who might have different or multiple e-mail addresses.
  • Services like GitHub, which restrict access to e-mail addresses via APIs.
  • Users who use different e-mail formats—like short versions or formal longer ones tied to Google Workspace or Microsoft365 accounts.

Mapping Users to Remote Accounts

In the Users tab for each service, you can see your list of TeamScore users and check if they are linked to corresponding remote user accounts from external services. A TeamScore user can be connected to multiple remote users, although this is less common.

Example use case: An accounts team member named Rebecca handles billing using a shared billing e-mail account (e.g., billing@domain.com). Even though Rebecca has her personal work e-mail for tracking, she also handles the billing account to maintain professional invoice presentation and enable continuity if she is unavailable. TeamScore allows linking Rebecca to both her personal and the shared billing remote user, so all relevant data is attributed to her.

Activating and Managing Subscriptions

Once a TeamScore user is linked to remote users, you can activate their subscription, instructing TeamScore to process and save incoming data related to those remote users under that TeamScore user. You can turn subscriptions off if you want to stop data processing for any reason, but typically you will keep them running to constantly collect work data.

Monitoring Data Activity

The last column in the Users tab displays the timestamp of the last time TeamScore processed data for that user from the service. While it doesn’t specify which remote user’s data was processed, it helps you verify that data is actively coming in.

This can be particularly helpful if a user’s productivity score appears low but you know they are working hard; you can check if data is missing due to connection issues and investigate accordingly by contacting TeamScore support or your external service providers.
