The Schedules tab in TeamScore is an essential feature that helps define when work days and work hours occur for users, as well as what constitutes a full work day in terms of hours. Understanding and configuring schedules correctly can help you accurately measure and score work activity.
Overview of the Schedules Tab
The Schedules tab displays schedules that apply to users in two ways:
- Custom schedules: Created specifically for individual users or account-wide use, allowing flexibility to handle unique situations such as vacations or temporary changes in work hours.
- Default schedules: Provided by the TeamScore engine for easy selection from a drop-down list, representing standard work day settings.
Creating and Managing Schedules
To create a new schedule for a user, click the blue Create Custom Schedule button in the top right corner. This custom schedule initially applies only to the individual user, but you can also create reusable, account-wide schedules in another part of TeamScore.
When are custom schedules useful? They are particularly helpful to represent temporary changes like vacations. For example, if a user is on vacation, you can create a schedule with a defined start and end date marking all days in that range as non-work days.
Configuring Days and Hours
For each day of the week, you can specify whether the day’s schedule should:
- Copy from the default schedule (normal working hours)
- Be custom set for the user with specific start and end times defining their work day
- Be marked as a non-work day
Selecting a custom schedule allows you to adjust the work hours specific to that day, which will also visually affect the activity bar’s color coding in the TeamScore interface.
Work Hours and Target Scores
You can define the number of hours that make up a full work day in these schedules. This number works together with the user’s target percentage to determine scoring. For example, if a user’s schedule shows 8 hours a day, but their target percentage is set to 80%, then working 6 hours and 40 minutes will achieve a score of 100.
This feature ensures that TeamScore accurately reflects variations in individual work expectations and schedules.
